It’s Official.
State of Hawaiʻi Nonresident Recreational Marine Fishing Licenses (NRMFL) are now required.
The Department of Land and Natural Resources is collecting a $20 per day fee for every nonresident angler over the age of 14. Residents of Hawaii who can show a valid, Hawaii state ID, as well as Active Military and their immediate family members are exempt.
This applies to all recreational fishing charters, shore fishing and spearfishing participants.
HOW TO OBTAIN A HAWAII FISHING LICENSE:
Each participant will need to register online with the state DLNR. While you can register at any time, we recommend that you do NOT pay for your fishing license until you are within 24 hours of your charter. If you are booking a shared fishing charter, ensure your charter is fully confirmed. The State does not issue refunds.
