Small group sport fishing charters
Kimmy V (operated by UFO Adventures) is a 28′ Ture Marine, complete with cuddy cabin and enclosed marine head. Kimmy V is currently the only sport fishing boat currently operating off the west side. Typical departure location is Mala Boat Ramp in Lahaina. Mornings only. 5:30 – 6:30 departure depending upon the time of year.Â
Kimmy V is used primarily for shared and private sport fishing charters. Trolling with artificial lure is the fishing method used 95% of the time. When conditions allow, deep water & inshore jigging is available for more experienced anglers. Seasonal live bait fishing (Oct-Mar) is also possible, however this is rarely offered during the summer. The captain will determine the most appropriate style of fishing for the day based on a number of factors including season, weather conditions, and skill level.
Frequently caught species include dorado (mahi-mahi), wahoo (ono), yellowfin, skipjack tuna (ahi). On private charters, Kimmy V will occasionally slow troll for gray snapper (uku), amberjack (kahala), and giant trevally (ulua).

- A cooler filled with ice and water available

- 4 guests maximum
- 3 guests minimum required to confirm all shared charters
- Minimum recommended age: 12, however children as young as 7 are permitted on a case-by-case basis on private charters

All Maui sport fishing charters
One word: EPIC
This was out third trip on the Kimmy V with Ryan. If you are even considering booking this trip, do yourself a favor abd do it. I first two trips were already amazing, but this third trip was one for the ages. We ended up worh 16 fish in the boat. 13 Mahi Mahi, 2 Shibe, and 1 Bluefin Trevally. Everything Ryan tried worked. We were able to go around tbe Nortb side of Lanai because of the Sourhern winds and fished a buoy that not a single other boat was at. We had a triple and a double hookup almost immediately, and landed 13 Mahis on 15 pieces of live bait. It's obvious that Ryan understands the waters and has the gear to put you on fish. We will continue to book our trips with Fish Maui on the Kimmy V with Ryan. If you like to catch fish you will do the same.

Awesome day of fishing!
We went out on a private charter with Captain Ryan on the Kimmy V. We had an absolutely amazing day. We caught 4 Mahi Mahi, one over 30lbs, and a short-billed spearfish. Ryan was awesome and extremely knowledgeable on gear and fishing techniques. We would most definitely do another charter with UFO in the future!
